On September 12, the Regional Medical Center (RMC) Auxiliary presented a check to three departments to help with the purchase of new equipment. Lou Ann Knaak, Auxiliary President said, “All the Auxiliary members working together were able to fund these items. What an amazing group of volunteers and what they accomplish. I am proud to be one of them.”
RMC’s Food Services Department received a check for $10,000 to help in the funding of a new Walk-In Freezer, which would replace several older freezers. Angie Lawrence, Food Services Coordinator, stated, “We are very excited to get the new Walk-in Freezer! Our dining services is really growing and this will be a big asset to the growth of our kitchen, and allow us to serve our patients better with a wider variety of options. We are very appreciative of the Auxiliary and their donation to our freezer.”
A check for $10,000 was presented to RMC’s Lab Department to help in the funding of a new hematology analyzer. The results from tests performed on this analyzer aid in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases related to the blood, such as anemia, infection, and cancer. “I would like to thank the RMC Auxiliary for their generous gift and commitment to RMC,” stated Lois Kruse, Lab/RT Manager. “The Auxiliary provide countless hours and remain committed to always giving back to the hospital in support of our community.”
RMC’s Quality Services Department was presented a check in the amount of $4,208 to fund hand railing in the Laboratory/Radiology Corridor. This hand rail system will help keep patients, visitors, and staff safe.
Dollars for these donations stem from recent Auxiliary fundraiser as well as HILLTOP Gift Shop sales.
