RMC Limits Visitors Due to Illness in the Community

Posted 1/25/2018 in Regional Medical Center

To help protect our patients and community, RMC began limiting visitors starting today, January 25 until further notice.  This is to help minimize potential patient exposure to the influenza virus and other respiratory viruses that are currently circulating.

Generally speaking, please DO NOT VISIT if you are not feeling well.

For our OB patients, visitors are limited to spouse or primary support person, and well siblings and grandparents of the newborn.

We genuinely appreciate the support people have for their family and friends who are hospitalized but these safety precautions are being taken to help keep our patients safe during flu season.

Remember, you can help stop the spread of the flu and other illnesses by following the 3 C’s:

  • Clean your hands frequently with soap and water.
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes with your sleeve or a tissue.
  • Contain germs by staying home when ill.
