Brought to you by Regional Medical Center’s Auxiliary
The Regional Medical Center (RMC) Auxiliary gives back to our community in a variety of ways. One way is by supporting those who want to dedicate themselves to a lifetime of caring for others. For over 40 years, with their annual healthcare scholarships to area students, the Auxiliary has done just that.
“Seeing those who have received our Auxiliary scholarship lead successful healthcare careers, some of them working at Regional Medical Center, is very rewarding to all of us,” shares Pat Blakesley, Auxiliary Tree of Lights / Scholarship Committee Chairperson. “We know we are making a difference in helping them achieve their career goals and that they are going to make a difference in the lives of others in the future.”
Anyone pursuing or continuing their education in the healthcare field at an Iowa college should visit regmedctr.org/auxiliaryscholarship to see if they are eligible to apply for one of the three $750 scholarships the Auxiliary will be awarding. Completed applications must be postmarked by March 31, 2021.
Selection is based upon academic record, financial need, a sincere interest in the human medical field, and participation in extracurricular and community activities. In addition to current area high school seniors, consideration is given to students in post-secondary education and those currently in the workforce who have enrolled and been accepted in a human medical field of study at an Iowa College for the 2021-2022 year.
