Perfect Warm, Fuzzy, Holiday Project
The RMC (Regional Medical Center) Auxiliary is having a Project Linus Blanket Workshop on Monday, December 29, from 12:30-4PM in Veterans Education Center - Level 3 at RMC. The blankets are given to infants and children through age 18 who are treated in the Emergency Department or admitted to RMC. ALL SKILL LEVELS ARE WELCOME. Children, accompanied by an adult, can take part in making blankets for this wonderful cause.
The more the merrier!!! Youth and adults are invited to work hand-in-hand to make fleece blankets at the December 29th Project Linus Blanket Workshop. Please RSVP to Pat at 563-927-3395 or email@example.com to assure adequate supplies.
If you cannot come, but would like to help in some way, monetary donations and donations of fleece in colors and prints for children and teens are welcome. Drop off your donations at the RMC Auxiliary Gift Shop during their December holiday hours Monday-Friday 7AM-4PM and Saturdays 9AM-Noon.
Suggested blanket sizes are:
- Infants no smaller than 36" x 36"
- Child/Youth 54" x 60" (1 ½ yard of 60” width)
- Teen 72" x 60" (2 yards of 60” width)
Special Care must be taken to make sure that blankets are free of smoke and chemical odors (including scented detergent, fabric softener and dryer sheets), mold, mildew, and pet hair.

Project Linus, is a non-profit organization, which provides security through blankets to children in need. Blankets are lovingly made by adults and children “blanketeers” from all walks of life and many different sources.
