RMC Auxiliary's Healthcare Scholarship Seeking Applicants

Apply by March 31, 2020

The Regional Medical Center (RMC) Auxiliary scholarship was founded to support those who want to dedicate themselves to a lifetime of caring for others. These annual scholarships have been given out since 1979, totalling nearly $35,000 in scholarships to area students.

“It’s very rewarding to see those who have received the Auxiliary scholarship go on to have successful careers in the medical field, some of them working at Regional Medical Center,” shared Pat Blakesley, Auxiliary Tree of Lights/Scholarship Committee Chairperson.

Anyone pursuing or continuing their education in the healthcare field at an Iowa college should visit regmedctr.org/auxiliaryscholarship to see if they are eligible to apply for one of the three $750 scholarships the RMC Auxiliary will be awarding. Completed applications for the 2020 RMC Auxiliary Human Medical Field Scholarships must be postmarked by March 31, 2020.

Selection is based on academic record, financial need, a sincere interest in the human medical field, and participation in extracurricular and community activities.  In addition to current area high school seniors, consideration is given to students in post-secondary education and those currently in the workforce who have enrolled and been accepted in a human medical field of study at an Iowa College for the 2020-2021 year.  Scholarship recipients will be announced in May.
