Posted 10/14/2020 in Auxiliary

Kathy Evarts was recognized this year for her dedication and service to our local hospital and community. The Bright Star Award is given annually to a Regional Medical Center Auxiliary volunteer who has shown exemplary generosity and kindness of spirit. Kathy was presented the award at this month’s RMC Auxiliary Executive Committee meeting.

Kathy Evarts became an Auxiliary member and volunteer in 2016. She has enjoyed volunteering in the HILLTOP Gift Shop and spends countless hours selecting the perfect items for the shop, attending buying shows, processing inventory, participating in many fundraising projects, assisting with the planning and coordination of the Auxiliary luncheons, coordinating the scheduling in the HILLTOP, serving on the Auxiliary Executive Committee as the Gift Shop Chairperson, and so much more. We thank Kathy for her continued dedication to the RMC Auxiliary and admire her passion for giving back to our hospital and community. Kathy was awarded a certificate and a Bright Star Willow Tree.

After accepting the award, Kathy expressed, “As far as I am concerned, I don’t really go above and beyond. It’s just something that I really enjoy doing and I think it's a really important thing for the hospital that we have volunteers.”
