Regional Medical Center (RMC) is proud to share that the American Diabetes Association (ADA) has awarded Education Recognition to RMC’s Diabetes Self-Management Program. Requirements include 15 hours of continuing education related to diabetes for each staff member, meeting standards of care set by the ADA, quality improvement processes related to patient care and curriculum requirements.
“RMC has maintained our ADA certification for 15 years. Knowing how much diabetes can affect a person’s daily life, we are committed to ensuring that our Self-Management Program is the most comprehensive and effective as possible for everyone in our community,” shares Amanda Donlon, RMC Quality Services Manager.
RMC also has a Diabetes Advisory Board, comprised of patients and staff, which meets annually. The board reviews the current Diabetes Self-Management Program and makes suggestions for improvement.
