Foundation for the Future of Delaware County Grant Recipient
This past year, Regional Family Health (RFH) clinics have been able to provide a free book to children age 1-6 during their annual well-child visits at our clinics. This is thanks to a $1,000 grant received from the Foundation for the Future of Delaware County.
One family shared, “I loved the fact that my two small children got a book at their well-child visit as I am a teacher and love to promote reading as young children!”
Reading to children at a young age fosters cognitive development, improves language skills and academic performance as well as helps with emotional attachment. These are all areas of development and overall wellness that RFH aims to achieve in caring for our communities.
“Our staff have enjoyed sharing these free books with families and we strongly feel each child and family will benefit from them,” shared Michelle Paris, Regional Family Health Clinic Director. “On behalf of all of us at Regional Family Health, thank you to the Foundation for the Future of Delaware County for giving back to our communities!”
