Black Hills Energy Donates to RMC Pediatric Patients

Regional Medical Center (RMC) and the RMC Radiology Department would like to thank Black Hills Energy for their donation of $250 to purchase a Pigg-O-Stat Pediatric Immobilizer. This piece of equipment allows the radiologist to position infants and young children for x-rays. It keeps the patient still, so the radiologist can capture great pictures on the first attempt which decreases radiation exposure to the child.

Presenting the donation check was Mario Diaz, Service Technician at Black Hills Energy. Diaz and his family reside in Manchester. It was great to work with RMC through the whole process. I was so glad to meet the special ladies in Radiology that do some of the most amazing work at our great hospital in Manchester,” said Diaz.

“On behalf of all of us in the Radiology department, we want to thank Black Hills for their donation”, commented Megan Demmer, Radiology Coordinator. “This piece of equipment will allow us to take x-rays on children more efficiently, which is good for all involved.”
