RMC Services Reopening Update

Posted 5/8/2020 in Regional Medical Center

As some businesses in Delaware County begin to open back up, here at Regional Medical (RMC) we have been making plans to do the same. This includes resuming some non-essential medical services that were previously put on hold. If you are in need of care or would like to inquire about a service, we encourage you to call that department to talk through your needs.

Rest assured, this will be a gradual and strategic transition while we keep patient and employee safety as a top priority. All plans are subject to change based on continuous review of patient census; local positive COVID-19 case count; personal protective equipment (PPE) and supply availability; as well as local, state, and federal guidance.

To ensure safety, visitor restrictions are still in place. We will also continue our current screening process, social distancing measures, and masking efforts. All patients are encouraged to wear their own face coverings (e.g. mask, bandanna, scarf, etc.) to help conserve RMC’s PPE. We continue to offer telehealth for some of our services so if this is something you are more comfortable with, please be in touch with the applicable department.

Thank you for your patience, support, and complying with the guidelines put forth by the Iowa Department of Public Health and Delaware County Public Health during this COVID-19 pandemic.

We look forward to continuing to provide healthcare for you like we always have. Thank you for trusting RMC to provide you quality health care, close to home.
