Volunteers

Volunteers help maintain and improve the healthcare services available in your community!

For over 40 years, Auxiliary volunteers have shared gifts of time, talent, and treasure for the benefit of our patients, services, staff, and facility. Anyone over the age of 18 can apply to become a volunteer and make a difference. Prospective volunteers must complete an Application, Criminal Background Check, Health Assessment, and Orientation.

Become a volunteer:
  1. Contact 563-927-7441 or auxiliary@regmedctr.org for an application packet
  2. Complete Health Assessment and immunization requirements
  3. Personal interview
  4. Complete volunteer orientation in position specific training
Volunteer positions:

Auxiliary Executive Committee

Serve as a member of the Auxiliary Executive Committee and provide leadership as an officer or committee Chairperson. The Executive Committee consists of the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership Chair, Tree of Lights Chair, Gift Shop Chair, and Historian.

Community Outreach

Provide assistance at RMC events, American Red Cross community blood drives, health screenings, flu shot clinics, and other outreach activities.

Food

Donate food items for Auxiliary events such as homemade treats for blood drives, bake sale fundraisers, and HILLTOP Gift Shop Open House events.

HILLTOP Gift Shop

Our HILLTOP Gift Shop is a wonderful gift shop managed, maintained, and staffed totally by volunteers. Volunteers in the Gift Shop support RMC in several ways. Some patients, family members, and visitors may seek reprieve from stress and anxiety they face while others might find the ideal card or gift to extend get well, best wishes, or congratulations to a patient or loved one. Your gift of time supports the Auxiliary’s largest fundraiser which in turn benefits Regional Medical Center patients, services, staff, and facilities.

Knit

Knitters make works of their hands for our tiniest patients with Click for Babies or individuals facing the battle of cancer with Hats of Hope.

Office Work

Projects include on occasion, folding brochures, assembly and labeling mailings, and other miscellaneous projects. Varying weekdays and times as needed.

Poster Delivery

Deliver posters to area businesses for blood drives (as needed).

Project Committees

Help plan and implement several Auxiliary special events. Each committee will meet for approximately three months prior to the event.
