Hospice Volunteers

Our caring volunteers give supportive relationships to hospice patients and their family members. They offer a listening ear, a caring heart, and a helping hand.

Volunteers receive special training and contribute their individual skills for the benefit of hospice clients and their families by providing:

  • Respite for caregivers
  • Running errands
  • Reading to patients
  • Visiting
  • Explaining what is going on to children
  • Performing light housekeeping and child care
  • Preparing meals
  • Providing support to families during the time of bereavement
  • Just being there as a peaceful and supporting presence

We are grateful for the ongoing support from our caring volunteers.
