The CDC recently announced certain individuals are eligible to get an additional COVID-19 booster. This is due to the increased risk of severe illness with these populations.
If the listed ages below have received their first booster dose at least 4 months ago, they are now eligible to receive a second booster dose of an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine.
- Ages 12+ who are moderately or severely immunocompromised (Pfizer-BioNTech)
- Ages 18+ who are moderately or severely immunocompromised (Moderna)
- Ages 50+ (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna)
In addition, adults aged 18+ who received a primary vaccine and a booster dose of Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen COVID-19 vaccine at least 4 months ago may now receive a second booster dose using an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine (either Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna).
Booster doses are readily available in our communities. Schedule your appointment today!
