Full Circle Moment at Project Linus Workshop

Full Circle Moment at Project Linus Workshop

June 13, 2022 in Auxiliary, News

It was a full circle moment for a mother and her son at the Regional Medical Center (RMC) Auxiliary Project Linus Workshop. Roxanne Anderson and her now 16-year-old son, Max, volunteered their time to make blankets for RMC pediatric patients on Thursday, June 9, 2022.

As they sat and put together this fleece blanket, Roxanne was reminded of the day she brought her 9-month-old baby boy into the RMC Emergency room. “I remember grabbing everything we could as we rushed Max into emergency care but seemed to have forgotten a blanket. The Project Linus blanket was very helpful because the hospital was cold. It was also a cool summer day so it was so nice that we could take him home in it too,” shared Roxanne.

Thank you to all the volunteers that participated in the RMC Auxiliary Project Linus workshop. Pediatric patients being cared for in the Emergency Department and inpatient unit will benefit greatly from the comfort of these blankets.
