Transitioning Back to School

Transitioning Back to School

August 2, 2023 in News, Parent Education & Support

As the start of the school year approaches, young children often face challenges transitioning back to their structured program. A new school year often means a lot of changes including new routines, people and places.

Parents and guardians of young children–start preparing your kids for this transition back to school today! Set a predictable routine with consistent times for meals, naps and bedtime. Having structure at home can help kids transition to the structure of early childhood programs.

Back to school time can not only be stressful on the child, but the parent as well. It’s important to note that this is an important phase in child development. Building new relationships with their teacher and fellow classmates will allow your child to become resilient. Our local school teachers and administrators are trained to help guide your child through this transition. Put your trust in them as stress and worry increases.
