Heather Ries Demonstrates her Dedication to the Nursing Profession
November 7, 2023 in News, Regional Medical Center
Heather Ries, Regional Medical Center’s Chief Nursing Officer, has been a nurse for 21 years and is very dedicated to the nursing profession. This was recently exhibited as Heather applied to be an exam volunteer for the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN).
Based upon her clinical specialty and nursing expertise, Heather was selected as a volunteer Item Reviewer for the NCSBN Licensure Examination (NCLEX®). In this role, she examined items that were created by writers to be included in the exam.
“This was an enriching experience and helped to remind me 'why' I became a nurse in the first place,” shared Heather Ries. “I appreciate RMC’s commitment to the nursing profession and professional development for their employees in our community.”
NCSBN is responsible for developing and administering crucial examinations for those in the nursing field. Passing the NCLEX exam is one of the requirements necessary for attaining a nursing license/registration in the United States and participating Canadian provinces and territories.
