RMC Secures Grant from Foundation for the Future of Delaware County for Surgical Expansion

Regional Medical Center (RMC) in Manchester has successfully utilized a $6,716 grant from the Foundation for the Future of Delaware County to purchase a state-of-the-art specialized Warming Cabinet for its new 18,400-square-foot surgery addition. The cabinet ensures that one of RMC’s brand-new surgical suites is fully equipped to deliver the highest clinical safety standards and premium patient comfort.

The new Warming Cabinet allows clinical staff to maintain a patient’s core body temperature within the healthy medical range of 36°C to 38°C (normothermia). Keeping patients warm during surgery is a critical safety standard proven to:

• Reduce Infection: Lowers the risk of surgical site infections.
• Enhance Safety: Minimizes blood loss, prevents cardiovascular stress and reduces post-operative shivering.
• Speed Recovery: Accelerates healing and shortens hospital discharge times.
