A Legacy of Compassion: Honoring Bob Holtz’s Impact on RMC

Regional Medical Center (RMC) in Manchester is proud to share the renaming of the Veterans Education Center to the Bob Holtz Conference Room. This tribute celebrates Bob’s extraordinary lifetime of giving–totaling $3,614,304 over many years–within a space dedicated to the service and education of others. As a U.S. Army veteran himself, it is a fitting honor for a man who spent his life dedicated to both his country and the well-being of his neighbors.
The Bob Holtz Conference Room, formerly known as Veterans Education Center, has undergone an extensive renovation designed to foster a high-tech environment for education and collaboration. The upgraded space features modern flooring, cabinetry and lighting, along with new AV equipment to support our healthcare team.
While this conference room is the latest addition to his legacy, Bob Holtz’s impact is visible across the entire RMC campus. His generosity has touched nearly every facet of the patient experience, including the:
- Bob Holtz Wellness Center
- Bob Holtz Trauma Room
- River Ridge Pavilion
- Veterans Plaza (located outside River Ridge Pavilion)
The transition of this space is particularly meaningful given Bob’s personal history of military service. By naming the room in his honor, RMC continues to honor the spirit of our veterans through the eyes of a man who served his country and spent the rest of his life building and serving his community.

A gift of over $3.6 million is more than just a financial contribution; it is an investment in the well-being of our neighbors, friends and families. It demonstrates Bob’s deep faith and trust in the care provided at our local, not-for-profit hospital. His legacy doesn’t just sit on a plaque–it lives on through every life saved, every life improved and the vital education and collaboration taking place every day within the walls of Regional Medical Center.
About Bob Holtz: Bob Holtz was born and raised on a family farm near Greeley, Iowa. After graduating from Greeley High School and serving in the U.S. Army, Bob started Holtz Construction, which he owned and operated for 45 years until his retirement.
