RMC Auxiliary Provides Annual Healthcare Scholarships
January 20, 2022 in Auxiliary, News
Every year, the Regional Medical Center (RMC) Auxiliary focuses on supporting area students pursuing an education in the human medical field by offering three scholarships.
Anyone pursuing or continuing their education in the healthcare field at an Iowa college should visit regmedctr.org/auxiliaryscholarship to see if they are eligible to apply for one of the three $750 scholarships. Completed applications must be postmarked by March 31, 2022.
Selection is based upon academic record, financial need, a sincere interest in the human medical field, and participation in extracurricular and community activities. In addition to current area high school seniors, consideration is given to students in post-secondary education and those currently in the workforce who have enrolled and been accepted in a human medical field of study at an Iowa College for the 2022-2023 year.
“It is very rewarding to see those who have received our Auxiliary Healthcare Scholarship go on to lead successful healthcare careers, some of them working at Regional Medical center,” shared Pat Blakesley, Auxiliary Tree of Lights/Scholarship Committee Chairperson. “On behalf of all of the Auxiliary, thank you to those who donate to the Tree of Lights. You help to make these scholarships possible.”
