Funding Future Healthcare Workers: RMC Auxiliary Offers $1,500 Scholarships
November 3, 2026 in Auxiliary, News
The Regional Medical Center (RMC) Auxiliary has expanded its annual scholarship to $1,500 per student. The award supports local students pursuing careers in human medicine.
With a long-standing commitment to community wellness and workforce development, the Auxiliary has awarded over $52,000 to date. Today, several former scholarship recipients serve as active healthcare staff directly at RMC in Manchester.
Who Should Apply?
Scholarships are available to local high school graduates, continuing college students and adult learners who will be enrolled in a human healthcare program at any Iowa college for the 2027-2028 school year. Applications and required documentation must be received by February 26, 2027. To apply, visit regmedctr.org/scholarship.
A Tradition of Giving Back
Each scholarship is funded through contributions made to the Auxiliary’s seasonal Tree of Lights, currently glowing in the RMC River Ridge Pavilion lobby through mid-January.
“Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, we are thrilled to increase our scholarship award to $1,500 each this year,” said Luanne Becker, RMC Auxiliary Scholarship Chairperson. “This program is all about our community coming together to support local healthcare students. If you’re preparing for a career in human medicine, please apply!”
