Honor a Loved One and Inspire Future Healthcare Professionals  with the RMC Auxiliary’s “Tree of Lights”

November 2, 2026 in Auxiliary, News

The Regional Medical Center (RMC) Auxiliary invites community members to celebrate loved ones and support local healthcare students through its annual “Tree of Lights” campaign. The tree will shine in the main lobby of the RMC River Ridge Pavilion throughout the holiday season, from November through mid-January.

Donating to the Tree of Lights offers a meaningful, lasting tribute to honor special individuals in your life or remember those who have passed. For each gift received, a special white ornament featuring the name of the person being recognized will be placed on the tree.

Beyond creating a heartwarming holiday display, these donations directly fund three, $1,500 scholarships awarded each year to local students pursuing a human medical degree at Iowa colleges or universities.

“Honoring and remembering loved ones through our Tree of Lights is a wonderful, lasting tribute to them,” shared Luanne Becker, RMC Auxiliary Scholarship Committee Chairperson. “To date, thanks to the generous community support of our Tree of Lights and Auxiliary, we have provided over $52,000 in scholarships to area students preparing to serve in healthcare.”
