Manchester Area Nursing Honor Guard

The Manchester Area Nursing Honor Guard is a volunteer group of active and retired registered nurses (RNs) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs). Upon request, and according to the family’s wishes, the Honor Guard offers a tribute at the final services for a deceased RN or LPN, recognizing their dedication to the service of others.

Though this is not a service offered by RMC, we fully support the Manchester Area Nursing Honor Guard’s compassionate dedication in honoring fellow nurses and providing comfort to their families.

Services Offered

Manchester Area Nursing Honor Guard offers several services that can be coordinated with the family:

  • Recite “The Final Call to Duty”
  • Recite “The Nightingale Prayer”
  • Recite the “Nursing Sonnet”

To request the presence of the Manchester Area Nursing Honor Guard, please notify your local funeral home.
