Weight & Bili Checks
Free weight and Bili check (checking for jaundice) are offered after you and your baby are discharged. The OB & Family Health Department will help schedule follow-up appointments and care.
Well Child Checks
Infant well child checks are performed by your family doctor at any of the Regional Family Health clinics.
Nutrition Education & Counseling
RMC dietitians offer services regarding healthy weight loss and dietary needs.
WIC (Women, Infants & Children)
This is a supplemental nutrition program for babies, children under the age of 5, and those who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or 6 months postpartum. WIC helps families by providing healthy foods, nutrition education, and referrals to other healthcare agencies. To find the agency closest you, go to idph.state.ia.us/wic or call 1-800-532-1579.
Breastfeeding Consultation
We have an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant on staff. Call 563-927-7318 if you need support after you go home.
There is also a Breastfeeding Support Group you can join.
