Scot Christiansen, MD
inpatient services medical director / wound clinic medical director
Dr. Christiansen obtained his medical degree from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, in 1989. He completed his Family Practice Residency Program in Wausau, Wisconsin in 1992. Dr. Christiansen is Board Certified in Family Medicine. His scope of practice includes family medicine, obstetrics, and wound management. Dr. Christiansen joined Regional Medical Center Medical Staff in August of 1992.
Timothy Gerst, MD

Dr. Gerst obtained his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa in 2003 and received his Masters in Healthcare Management at Indiana University of South Bend, Indiana in 2007. He completed his residency in family practice at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana in 2007. Dr. Gerst is Board Certified in Family Medicine. His scope of practice includes family medicine and obstetrics. Dr. Gerst joined Regional Medical Center Medical Staff in August of 2007.
Denise Lympus, ARNP
Nurse Practitioner / Hospitalist Lead
Denise Lympus attended Allen College in Waterloo, Iowa, for her Master’s program degrees in Acute Adult and Gerontology Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated in 2012 and 2013. She attended Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, for undergraduate BSN nursing degree from 1991-1995. Denise is dual board certified in Acute Adult and Gerontology Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. Denise joined Regional Medical Center Medical Staff in July of 2012.
Victor Salas, MD

Dr. Salas obtained his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa in 1997. He completed his residency in family practice at the Medical Education Foundation in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 2000. Dr. Salas is Board Certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Salas joined Regional Medical Center staff in 2013.
Nicole Salow, MD

Dr. Salow obtained her medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa in 1999. She completed her residency in family practice at the Northeast Iowa Family Practice Residency Program in Waterloo, Iowa in 2002. Dr. Salow is Board Certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Salow joined Regional Medical Center staff in October of 2009.
