Through a recent grant awarded by the Foundation for the Future of Delaware County, Delaware County Public Health is able to provide free radon test kits to Delaware County Residents. About Radon Radon is the number one cause of lung cancer among individuals who have never smoked, causing over 21,000 lung cancer deaths each year in the United States. This naturally occurring, radioactive gas is released during the decay of uranium found in rock and soil across the United States.
